Schedule: 1500-2330 5 days in a 2-week period or 20 hours a week Rotating holidays & weekends As a Patient Flow Coordinator RN at MercyOne, you will: oversee bed management, including patients who are being admitted, transferred and discharged serves as a contact person for patient care area staff, physicians and health related facilities evaluates patient needs, appropriate level of care, referring facility capability, predicts bed availability and admission/discharge trends; facilitates bed briefings understands hospital patient placement priorities; participates in quality oversight, ensures EMTALA compliance and also services are provided efficiently according to Genesis Medical Center and department standards General Requirements Field Of Study: Nursing Special Training: Keyboarding, Windows, Word Training Preferred: Critical Care or triage experience; Cerner experience; Charge Nurse or supervisory experience; Baccalaureate degree in Nursing; Illinois RN licensure Licensure/Registration: Registered Nurse in Iowa; Registered Nurse in Illinois within 6 months Experience: More than 2 years experience required. Interpersonal Skills: Interaction is with a variety of people inside or outside the organization. Communications are of moderate difficulty and sensitivity. Contact with others may involve detailed & lengthy dialogues & exchanges of information. Requires a moderate amount of interpersonal skills. Interactions involve dealing with moderately complicated problem situations or stressful encounters. Physical Demands: Low Intensity: Work requires a light or low amount of physical exertion. The job requirements for manual dexterity or physical manipulation are limited. The need for physical stamina and endurance is of minimal or low significance. The degree of physical strain produced on the job is somewhat taxing, but does not usually produce fatigue and require periods of rest. Freedom of movement exists, and the job does not confine the employee to a prescribed body posture. Body movement usually involves sitting and intermittent walking. The position exceeds these low intensity demands rarely, 10% of the time or less. Working Conditions: There is limited exposure to moderately adverse and undesirable environmental conditions. There are some health and safety risks. Position may require safety equipment and precautions. The amount of time the employee may experience these moderate conditions is limited to 10% or less of their work day. Allure is looking for compassionate and caring Nursing Assistants who are interested in making a difference in the lives of our residents and their families. The Nursing Assistant will be responsible for offering quality of life services. The ideal candidate for this position is a compassionate professional with a strong sense of discretion and preferably has previous experience working in a long-term care facility. We are looking for employees committed to quality care. Examples of Nursing Assistant responsibilities: · Assist residents with performing basic tasks such as eating, dressing, toileting and showering. · Responding immediately to calls from residents for assistance and alert nurse of any change in conditions · Encourage residents to participate in scheduled activities and keep physical strength by encouraging and assisting with tasks. · Replacing linens on beds and assisting residents with keeping rooms clean interaction with residents each day · Possess and maintain a current and unrestricted CNA license · CPR certification · Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills · Skilled nursing facility experience preferred · Tuition reimbursement We offer competitive earnings, a supportive working environment and opportunity for advancement .
