About the Program Telecare’s Multnomah Crisis Assessment and Treatment Center (CATC) is a 16-bed inpatient facility that provides short-term, acute psychiatric care to adults experiencing a mental health crisis. Our program focuses on rapid stabilization and recovery, offering trauma-informed, person-centered treatment in a safe and supportive environment. As the Nurse Coordinator , you will lead the nursing team in delivering evidence-based psychiatric care, supporting crisis intervention, de-escalation, and recovery planning. This role is critical in maintaining a therapeutic milieu and ensuring nursing services are aligned with psychiatric best practices and regulatory standards. Position Summary The Nurse Coordinator is a licensed Registered Nurse who supervises the nursing team and provides direct psychiatric nursing services in an inpatient setting. You will be responsible for overseeing medication administration, leading clinical decision-making in collaboration with the psychiatrist and multidisciplinary team, and ensuring that all nursing practices meet the highest standards of mental health care. What You'll Do Oversee and coordinate all psychiatric nursing care in a 24/7 acute care environment Supervise RNs, LPNs, and other designated staff, fostering a cohesive and skilled nursing team Ensure safe and effective medication administration and monitoring, including managing side effects and supporting medication adherence Lead crisis intervention efforts and support staff in implementing non-coercive, trauma-informed de-escalation techniques Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, therapists, and other treatment team members on care planning and discharge coordination Ensure compliance with all state and federal psychiatric nursing regulations, including documentation, infection control, and safety standards Provide direct nursing care, including psychiatric assessments and emergency interventions as needed Participate in quality improvement initiatives and lead efforts to maintain a high standard of clinical care Support the ongoing training and development of nursing staff Serve as a member of the program's leadership team, contributing to policy development, staffing plans, and operational strategy Participate in the 24-hour on-call rotation for nursing leadership coverage Assist with client admissions, discharges, and coordination of community resources Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing school and 4 years of experience (including 2 years in psychiatric nursing); OR a BSN and 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience; OR an MSN and 1 year of psychiatric experience At least 1 year in a supervisory role Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon At least 18 years of age Valid driver’s license , active auto insurance (must include your name), and willingness to use your personal vehicle to transport clients Preferred Qualifications MSN degree or currently enrolled in an MSN program 6 years of total nursing experience with at least 4 years in psychiatric care and 2 years in a leadership role Experience working in an inpatient psychiatric or acute behavioral health setting Key Skills Expertise in psychiatric assessment and crisis intervention Skilled in trauma-informed care and therapeutic communication Strong leadership, team-building, and supervisory abilities Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making in high-pressure situations Ability to support a culture of safety, respect, and recovery Knowledge of psychiatric medications, symptoms, and mental health disorders Commitment to the principles of person-centered, recovery-oriented treatment Why Telecare? We are looking for an experienced LPN to support our outpatient practice within our Gynecology Oncology team. This position will support our West Cancer Center in Tigard, OR. Nurses working at Compass are an important part of the interdisciplinary team that supports the extraordinary care provided to our patients. This individual will work alongside our gynecology oncology team, that includes our providers, an RN, Medical Assistants, and schedulers. The team's primary focus is to work collectively to help guide our patients through their cancer care journey. The qualified individual will be utilizing the nursing process addressing the acute and chronic needs of the patient with a cancer diagnosis, answering clinical questions, and gathering information for our providers to inform care delivery decisions. Employment Type: Full-Time, 40 Hours M-F Location: West Cancer Clinic (Tigard, OR) Salary Range: $26.41-$44.59 per hour *Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise as well as internal employee equity considerations. Scope: Under general supervision, provides general nursing care for patients following established standards and practices for the licensed practical nurse within the state of WA. This individual will promote efficient patient flow and assist with patient care adhering to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Responsibilities Essential duties and Responsibilities: Provides general nursing care to patients, to include: Screen patients for appropriate information. Administers treatments such as wound care, bladder scans, void trials, etc. in accordance with nursing standards. Assists with the preparation of equipment and aids physician during examination and procedures. Observes, records, and reports patient’s condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to providers. Orders/prescribes medications as directed by provider. Provides patient education, to include pre/post operative patient education on procedures, medications, and recovery expectations. Responds to/refers incoming telephone calls. Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions. Recognizes when escalation is required to RN to maintain compliance with nurse practice act and state regulations for LPNs. Records patient data prior to each physician visit, including but not limited to, vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and current medication reconciliation. Performs EKG and oximetry readings as requested by the provider. Send referrals, place orders, and request medical records as outlined by the provider. Maintain patient files, records, and other information. Initiate IV fluids and IV therapeutic medications in accordance with LPN/LVN state nurse practice act. Participates in cross-training programs to develop skills across multiple areas of the practice and provide support where needed. Demonstrates reliability and punctuality by consistently showing up on time and maintaining dependable attendance to support team operations and organizational goals. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate from an accredited school for practical nursing. This position requires at least 3 years’ experience as a practical nurse. Phlebotomy experience preferred. Current LPN state license and registration with the State Board of Practical Nursing in practicing state. Current American Heart Association accredited BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
