The Cardiothoracic Surgery Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a member of the Cardiothoracic Surgery ICU multidisciplinary team that includes physicians, residents, fellows, and RNs providing intensive care services to patients and families. This position provides a faculty appointment at the rank of Teaching Associate in the Department of Surgery, with an anticipated start date in Spring 2026. Teaching Associates hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. WORK SCHEDULE 80% FTE, 32 hours per week Day Shift Department Description Conveniently located in the north Beacon Hill neighborhood, Harborview’s Primary Care at Hobson Place Clinic offers comprehensive wellness care and treatment for acute and chronic illnesses for those over the age of 18. We emphasize engaging the unhoused, those living in shelters or in supportive housing in primary care, but are open to all community members for care. Our clinic is supported by a team of professionals with expertise in social work, chemical dependency, nutrition, podiatry, clinical pharmacy, and patient education. We are in collaboration with Seattle’s Downtown Emergency Service Center, who provide on-site mental health care and case management services for enrolled patients.
