Review staffing patterns and census of nursing units and reassign personnel when necessary to ensure staffing meets resident needs and budgetary controls. Monitor the clinical operations of the unit and resident’s conditions and ensure that appropriate and quality care is administered. Obtain medications, supplies and medical records needed to provide safe, efficient, and therapeutic are to residents on a continuing basis. Assist in the orientation of new personnel, monitoring their skills and guides and observe care team members that may need assistance with procedures. Qualifications: Graduate of accredited school of nursing. Licensed as an LPN or RN in the state employed; license must be active, valid, and in good standing. Valid CPR teaching certificate preferred, but not required. Must hold an active CPR license or the ability to obtain within the first 30-days of employment. CPR license must be kept active and current throughout employment. Three years of nursing experience, of which one year in a long-term care environment. Key Responsibilities: • To perform or assist the resident with completing Activities of Daily Living (ADL). • Respond to residents call lights to provide maximum comfort, safety and privacy. • Transport residents by ambulation or by wheelchair to areas of community (dining room, lobby and activities). • Report any significant findings/observations to nurse immediately. • Assist residents on admission, transfer and discharge to make a smooth transition. • Responsible for the safekeeping of residents’ personal possessions. • Keep resident rooms neat and safe. • Follow proper infection control techniques • Respect the rights of each resident, particularly privacy and confidentiality. • Re-teach resident to perform ADL skills. • Provide restorative care to prevent pressure sores, contractures, and complications. • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement and ensures follow-up occurs. • Converse with resident and family; assist them on adjustment to the community. • Ensure adequate hydration and nutrition of resident; report deviations from norm to the Charge Nurse promptly. • Perform blood pressure, pulse, respirations, intake/output and weights accurately. Qualifications: • Certified and state tested as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state employed; certificate must be active, valid, and in good standing. Position Overview: Majestic Care Nurses render skilled technical nursing services to residents within an assigned unit/wing in support of medical care as directed by the nursing management team; supervises CNAs to ensure a high quality of care is provided to all residents in that unit. Key Responsibilities: Initiate and lead team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans. Assess and document the residents’ condition and nursing needs. Accurately and promptly implement physicians’ orders. Administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments for assigned residents and document that treatment as required by Majestic Care and local, state, and federal rules and regulations. Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel. Assist physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act. Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents. Qualifications: Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
