Maintains a safe and clean working environment By complying with procedures, rules, and regulations for safety and infection control keeping patient rooms in a neat and orderly fashion, cleaning assigned equipment or areas according to procedure and adhering to medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations. Respects patients and the organization By recognizing patient rights, patient privacy keeping information confidential and responding to requests using tact and diplomacy. Ensures operation of equipment By completing preventive maintenance requirements following manufacturer's instructions troubleshooting malfunctions processing requisitions for repair maintaining equipment inventories evaluating new equipment and techniques. Maintains professional and technical knowledge By attending educational workshops reviewing professional publications establishing personal networks participating in professional societies. Maintaining current BLS and ACLS affirmations, attending required annual in-services, attending staff meetings regularly, documenting professional development on associate education records, conducts annual learning sessions in collaboration with the patient care specialist, identifies learning needs and seeks professional improvement. Demonstrates financial accountability Checking stock to determine inventory level anticipating needed supplies placing and expediting orders for supplies verifying receipt of supplies using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
