The Adult Intensive Care Unit (AICU) is a mixed specialty unit with a variety of cardiac critically ill patients. On this 12-bed unit, nurses primarily care for respiratory failure, ARDS, sepsis, and shock, DKA, heart failure, renal failure, complex vascular ENT surgeries, high risk surgical cases, STEMIs, and strokes.
