Indiana University Health Fishers is seeking a dedicated and skilled RN Clinical Specialty Coordinator to lead our ENT surgery service line. This critical position focuses on delivering high-quality care to our OR patient population. This role works 4, 10-hour day shifts during weekdays.

Position Overview:
As the RN Clinical Specialty Coordinator, you will coordinate a specialized service line, leveraging your extensive clinical expertise and judgment to assess and monitor patients' physiological health. In collaboration with the healthcare team, you will develop and execute comprehensive care plans that ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the delivery of care for high-acuity patients across the service line, utilizing advanced clinical knowledge and assessment skills.
  • Serve as the clinical expert and strong leader within the unit, actively participating in management and system leadership activities to enhance service delivery.
  • Scrub and/or circulate in Urology surgeries including robotic cases surgeries, demonstrating expertise and ensuring patient safety.
  • Develop a core curriculum for the service line in conjunction with the clinical educator and system education teams, overseeing new staff orientation and ongoing education for all team members.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and ensure they meet the needs of the service line.
  • Act as a role model and resource for staff, embodying the mission and vision of Indiana University Health in all aspects of patient care and unit operations.

Qualifications:

  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN).
  • Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • 5+ years of OR (Operating Room) experience is strongly preferred.
