Your Role in Action Prepare patients for examsby reviewing medical histories, obtaining vitals, and ensuring comfort and confidentiality. Support providers during exams, minor procedures, and treatments. Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing as needed. Manage accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system. Assist with patient education and coordination of care, ensuring follow-up appointments, labs, and imaging are scheduled. Collaborate with the care team to deliver seamless, compassionate service to patients and families. What You Bring to the Table Certification Required – Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential. Clinical Experience – Previous experience in oncology, hematology, or another specialty clinic strongly preferred. Technical Skills – Proficiency with vital signs, EKGs, injections, specimen processing, and EMR documentation. Compassion & Professionalism – Ability to support patients with empathy and dignity, while maintaining a calm and reassuring presence. Team Collaboration – Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Communicates with physicians and team members about patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations. Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict. Will perform all job duties or job tasks as assigned. Education/License/Experience Requirements: Certified Medical Assistant certificate required. Current BLS certification.
