SUPERHERO JOB SUMMARY

The Wound Pros’ staff Registered Nurse (RN) treats our patients in various markets across California. The RN provides advanced wound care, durable medical equipment, and other services to patients who are in various care facilities. By leveraging the power of Artificial Intelligence, we have been able to heal wounds faster and more efficiently. The RN will be a part of our company’s mission to heal wounds and prevent amputations in various care facilities.

REPORTS TO

The RN reports to the following:

Chief Executive Officer
Assigned Supervising Physician per State
National Medical Director
Director of Clinical Services and Assistant Director of Clinical Services
Senior Vice President of Durable Medical Equipment
Assigned Clinical Supervisor
Assigned Regional Team Lead (if applicable)
Assigned Supervising Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant/Doctor of Podiatric Medicine/Doctor of Medicine

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Abide by the clinical department’s policies and procedures
Perform complete physical exams of patients
Conduct initial and follow-up visits, collaborating with the assigned supervising Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant via Telehealth as needed
Select, order, and perform tests and procedures to best treat the patient.
Perform wound care procedures as deemed necessary and appropriate for a plan of care in accordance with Wound Pros 7-Step Treatment Protocol
Perform a comprehensive plan of care for documented patient diagnoses
Recommendations for prescription of required medications and/or Surgical/Wound Care Dressings to facilitate wound healing and/or wound prevention

Request for Durable Medical Equipment per the company’s guidelines and protocols

Assure all patients are completely satisfied, by exemplifying Wound Pros standards for patient care
Patient education and management
Assists with special projects as needed
Depending on the state’s specific scope of practice, conservative debridement of wounds by various methods during the patient visit
Application of topical wound care and other wound management products
Notate findings and treatment course in-patient chart, including follow-up notes
Actively participate in departmental activities to improve training methods and achieve company goals
Travel to patients’ homes and/or long-term care facilities will be required, a 50-mile travel radius from the clinician’s home is expected
Travel assignments to new market areas per the company’s needs and growth
Meet the documentation requirements of the Medical Records Department
If permitted by the state’s scope of practice, perform conservative podiatry services in certain market areas as needed
Maintain excellent communication with all stakeholders, agencies, patients, and families
Become an expert wound care consultant treating our patient's chronic non-healing wounds, delivering excellent customer experiences
Crush quarterly goals through consistency in providing tremendous care, and administering biological application where necessary for rapid healing rates
Seek personal and leadership growth through participation in departmental activities
Meet metrics designed for field clinicians, including maximizing patient visits, both telehealth, and face-to-face, utilizing treatment modalities to demonstrate efficient wound healing and minimize time-to-healing rate
Supervise Licensed Vocational Nurses and Medical Assistants as the need arises

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

RN must be a graduate of an approved Registered Nurse Program
Current active license to practice as an RN in the State
Must have prior Wound Care experience and/or Wound Care Certification
Full-time experience working in a skilled nursing facility is a plus

Valid and unrestricted driver’s license
Current BLS certification
Current malpractice insurance

Excellent communication skills
Experience working with healthcare-related technologies, data, and software(s)
Prior experience in cross-functional roles and team collaboration
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask, and time management
Technical aptitude with the ability to adapt, learn quickly, and teach others
Proficient use of MS Office Suite (particularly Excel and PowerPoint), Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Drive etc.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Patient-centric approach
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a professional environment
Must be proficient with medical instruments and equipment required by Wound Pros
Ability to communicate effectively, in verbal and written form
Sound understanding of all federal and state regulations
Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
Must have a full range of mobility
Must be able to reposition patients

COMPENSATION

Total compensation potential of up to $150,000.00 per year, plus a tremendous opportunity for professional growth and advancement.

WORK LOCATION

As a mobile Clinical Provider, you will be required to travel and treat our patients who are homebound or in long-term care facilities.
