Director of Nursing (DON)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations for The Palms at Sebring. This senior leadership role is responsible for ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, staff development, and overall nursing excellence.
Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic and operational leadership for all nursing services

Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation requirements

Oversee clinical policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives

Lead, mentor, and develop nursing leadership, including ADONs, Unit Managers, and charge nurses
-
Monitor clinical outcomes, infection control, risk management, and resident safety
-
Collaborate with the Administrator, Medical Director, and interdisciplinary team
-
Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and labor efficiency
-
Prepare for and lead state surveys, audits, and plan-of-correction processes
-
Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and resident-centered care
Qualifications

Active RN license in the state of practice (BSN preferred)

Minimum of 3–5 years of nursing leadership experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting

Strong knowledge of state and federal nursing home regulations
-
Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills
-
Experience with survey readiness, clinical compliance, and quality metrics

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
