Position Summary

The Unit Manager (RN or LPN) is responsible for overseeing daily clinical operations on the unit, ensuring exceptional resident care, and supporting a culture of teamwork. This role works closely with the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) and Director of Nursing (DON) to maintain regulatory compliance, promote quality outcomes, and support nursing staff through coaching, mentoring, and leadership.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support floor nurses and CNAs to ensure quality, person-centered care

  • Coordinate resident care plans and monitor clinical outcomes

  • Collaborate with ADON and DON on quality improvement initiatives

  • Participate in on-call rotation

  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with federal, state, and facility standards

  • Provide leadership, education, and mentorship to nursing staff

  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members

  • Help maintain a positive, professional, and compassionate environment


Qualifications

  • Valid Florida RN or LPN license (required)

  • Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing (required)

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with nursing leadership

  • Passion for resident advocacy and quality care

  • Ability to participate in the on-call rotation
