Department Description

The Heart Institute at UW Medical Center – Montlake provides a full range of heart healthcare and prevention services including general cardiology, cardiac diagnostic imaging tests and procedures, cardiac surgery, arrhythmia management and electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, structural heart services, advanced heart failure management, heart transplant and ventricular assist devices (VADs), adult congenital heart disease management, cardiac psychiatry, cardiovascular genetics and other advanced services.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our multi-disciplinary team consisting of cardiologists, surgeons, interventionalists, other RNs, advanced practice providers, and administrative staff to coordinate, support, and implement the medical care of this complex patient population
  • Communication and patient education
  • Provides case management care to our large patient population
  • Float between clinic and our Echo procedural area
  • Manage Debutamin stress studies, stress and stress echo studies and will also support TEE studies
  • Support the Echo studies by delivering contrast.

Requirements

  • Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington
  • At least 2 years of inpatient or outpatient cardiology/telemetry experience
  • Strong IV skills
