The Heart Institute at UW Medical Center – Montlake provides a full range of heart healthcare and prevention services including general cardiology, cardiac diagnostic imaging tests and procedures, cardiac surgery, arrhythmia management and electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, structural heart services, advanced heart failure management, heart transplant and ventricular assist devices (VADs), adult congenital heart disease management, cardiac psychiatry, cardiovascular genetics and other advanced services.

Primary Job Responsibilities

Help patients prevent and recover from heart disease
Be aware of all participants in the gym and intervene if necessary before a problem occurs

As part of a multi-dimensional team, discuss and research heart healthy meal planning, provide guidance about effective exercise regimens and offer techniques to assist goal-setting and encourage lifestyle behavior change

Requirements

Uses health assessment data to determine nursing diagnosis. 6. Develops a care plan that establishes goals, based on nursing diagnosis and incorporates palliative nursing actions. Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician in the physician’s plan of care. 8. Counsels the patient and family in meeting nursing and related needs. 9. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing 2. Registered Nurse, with a License in good standing to practice in the state of Washington. 3.
