What You'll Do

The Cardiology Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive cardiovascular care across the care continuum. This care will be provided in outpatient and inpatient hospital settings. Cardiology NP will hold independent clinics in outpatient setting under the guidance and collaboration with collaborating physicians.

Work with the Cardiology team to conduct patient assessments, obtain medical histories, and perform physical exams. Collaborate with cardiologists and other medical providers to develop and coordinate treatment plans. Perform hospital rounds on cardiology consults and follow-up patients in collaboration with the cardiologist.

Participate in a rotating call schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Requirements

Current Missouri Advanced Practice Nurse licensure as a Nurse Practitioner according to MO State Board of Nursing.

Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse’s state of residence.

OR

Current Missouri Physician Assistant license.

Graduate of Physician assistant program accredited by the committee on Allied Health, education and accreditation of the American Medical Association.

Experience

Previous cardiology experience is preferred.
