Scheduled Hours 40 Position Summary Don't miss this opportunity to join our team at WashU Department of Hematology working with a wide variety of hematologic conditions including general hematology, sickle cell, hemophilia, and clotting disorders. Our clinical teams care for patients at a wide variety of clinical locations in both IL and MO. This group consists of 11 attending physicians, 28 fellow physicians, and 9 nurse practitioners. This position will directly support providers in clinic during ambulatory clinic sessions and will perform administrative duties including patient care coordination, medication authorization, triage patient phone calls, ordering of laboratory and outpatient testing, patient education, and various Epic tasks related to patient care coordination. There is the potential for a hybrid work model upon completion of satisfactory orientation period. As an integral member of the care team, they collaborate with other health care professionals to ensure continuity of care and coordination of a wide variety of patient care services. We are seeking an experienced RN who regularly possesses a high level of proven multitasking abilities and has astute clinical judgment as they assess, triage, and provide nursing consultation. This is a weekday, daytime position. No Weekends! No Holidays! Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Provides direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patients; completes health history and physical examination on patients; conveys findings to physician.
