The Concierge also performs patient registration, collection of payments, rooming, and patient discharge. This position is a vital part of the urgent care team that works under the direction of the Site Manager and works closely with the provider and other clinical staff. Must demonstrate discretion; good judgment; diplomacy; decision-making; and a customer service attitude. Collects identification and payor related documentation, conducts registration using EPIC workflow. Measures and documents vitals and communicates the resulting data to the consumer and provider, including temperature, pulse, oxygen saturation, respiration, blood pressure, height, weight, and pain level. Documents chief complaint, allergies, health history, and current medications accurately in EPIC for review by provider. Performs and documents laboratory testing and collections per provider orders and/or standard operating procedures, to include venipuncture with prior venipuncture competency check-off. Administers and documents oral and intramuscular medication using the appropriate medication verification workflow. Assists provider with procedures to include, but not limited to maintaining sterile field, laceration repair, I&D, and application of ortho-goods and assists with ortho-glass application. Performs diagnostic x-rays and documents completion of radiology examinations within the licensed scope of practice as ordered and verified by the provider. Performs x-rays following established protocols and utilizes appropriate exposure factors for care and safety. Ensures images and applicable communication are transferred to radiology group for overread and assures all images have a report on file in the medical record. Welcomes the consumer and secondary guest(s) to the center (including eye contact, smile, greeting, and personal introduction) and inquires about the purpose and nature of the visit. Work Location: Texas Health Fort Worth 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. 76104 Work Hours: Full Time- 40 Hours p/w Surgery Department Highlights Fast Paced, High Volume of Open Vascular, Endo Vascular, and Hearts Level I Trauma facility. Strong Minimally Invasive CV program. Education Nursing Diploma Nursing Req Or Associate's Degree Nursing Req Or Bachelor's Degree Nursing Pref Experience 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program Req Licenses and Certifications RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req And BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req And Skills A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
