RN PACU PRN Summit Surgical is hiring a RN PACU PRN . Our fast-paced ASC is committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families. Synergy Surgery Center is a brand new outpatient surgery center in the Mission Valley area that specializes in Orthopedics. The entire center is new construction with all new equipment and more than 20 different orthopedic surgeons. The Center features 5 ORs and with spacious areas for both pre-op and PACU. The PACU will have 3 suites for 23 hour stay if needed. We look forward to building our brand new team of nurses, techs and business office personnel! Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Pre-Op/PACU manager, the PACU nurse is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients'' condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all time. At times, assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation and utilizing sterile technique as deemed appropriate. Responsible for providing total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation. Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge. Pay Range: $52.00 - 59.00/hour (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience. USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Kingsland is seeking a motivated Endoscopy RN to join our team. We have 4 OR rooms and 2 Treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Ortho, Podiatry, Pain, Gastro, GYN, General, Ophthalmology, Plastic. We are looking for a candidate to be available Monday-Friday, schedule subject to changed based on surgical schedule and flow of day. Candidate needs to be available for some early mornings and later evenings. Monday to Friday work schedule Saturday GI only cases; voluntary NO CALL required Off most holidays. Job Summary: Responsible to plan, execute, and evaluate the nursing care given to patients in the Endoscopy nursing role. Provides patient care within the prevailing state standards of practice and according to the policies of the facility. Communicates appropriate information to other team members. Helps maintain equipment, supplies, and general cleanliness of the unit. May have additional responsibilities designated by the manager, which may include but are not limited to providing patient care in other peri-operative departments, serving on committees, participating in quality improvement projects. Job Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Knows and adheres to policies of the Center and demonstrates fiscal responsibility. 2. Follows standards, policies, procedures, goals, and objectives for Endoscopy nursing care according to accepted standards. 3. Maintains and demonstrates current skills and knowledge of Endoscopy procedures and techniques. 4. Provides multi-dimensional care for assigned patients. Includes patient care in the pre-operative holding area, care in the Endoscopy suite, and care for the patient in the PACU. 5. Maintains and demonstrates current skills and knowledge in endoscopic procedures. 6. Demonstrates ability to understand the unique needs of each age group of the patient population. 7. Prepares patients, equipment and room for Endoscopy procedures. 8. Assists physicians with Endoscopy procedures per the SGNA guidelines. Specialized knowledge, experience and training is required for endoscope manipulation under the direction of the endoscopist. 9. Demonstrates accountability and responsibility for the care of facility assets. 10. Assesses the patient’s physiological and psychological needs. 11. Administers conscious sedation to patients that meet criteria under the direction of the attending physician while adhering to conscious sedation policies and monitors the patient to provide a safe environment during the Endoscopy procedure. 12. Follows OSHA and other standards for protection against blood borne pathogens. 13. Seeks involvement in activities that promote professional growth and behavior. 14. Uses good body mechanics. 15. Remains calm and function as a team member during times of stress and crisis situations. 16. Informs Manager of applicable day-to-day situations. 17. Follows employee health and other personnel and staffing policies. Ideal candidate will be focused on excellent customer service, have the ability to multi-task, the ability to show flexibility in assignments, maintain scrupulous infection control standards, maintain professional competencies and have the ability to work as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team. #USP-123 #USP-RN Required Skills: Qualifications: Graduate of an approved school of nursing. Currently licensed in the state. CPR required; advanced life support certification required. Minimum of one-year experience in Endoscopy; PACU experience required SGNA certification preferred. Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities. Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position. USPI complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce.
