IVF Coordinator- RN

We are actively seeking to fill the role of a compassionate RN/IVF Coordinator. If you have previous experience working in women's health and have a desire to assist fertility patients, we welcome your application! Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. with some weekend call rotation (minimum 1 weekend Sat/Sun per 4 weeks). This is a HYBRID position: 4 days per week in-clinic and 1 day remote. We are seeking to fill the full-time role of a PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse. If you have a heart for working in women's health and have the skills and experience below, we welcome your application! Hours: Monday - Friday 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with arrival time 15-30 minutes prior to prepare for patients. There may be some Saturdays and holiday rotation with this role as well. Essential Responsibilities: Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served in the Facility. Must demonstrate the knowledge of the principle of growth and development of the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s requirements relative to his/her age specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the Facility’s policies and procedures. Demonstrates necessary practical, technical, or specialized skills required for the role of the peri-operative nurse in accordance with AORN and other regulatory standards of practice. Facilitates effective and efficient transition from Preop to OR and PACU to release Utilizes appropriate body mechanics in moving patients, stretchers, and OR tables to prevent injury to patient and self. Ability to monitor patient as anesthesia wears off and evaluate patient Properly communicates any post-op care instructions to patient Demonstrates knowledge of management of patient, including: being available to anesthesia during intubation and extubation, assisting as needed in sudden changes in patient condition and being readily available to assist as directed. Ensures that H/P, orders for the procedure, and consent form are consistent prior to placing in medical chart. Prepares and administers medications in accordance with current practice (i.e. review physician orders, pre-op antibiotics, preparing/labeling medications on/off field, utilizing the 7 medication rights, identifying high alert medications, conducting independent double checks when indicated, and narcotic waste, etc.). Assures only licensed personnel administer medications. Relays appropriate hand off communication to RN Circulator to ensure continuity of care. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills in the nursing process Demonstrates the ability to utilized recognized channels of communication. Demonstrates the ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships with patients, coworkers, and other health team members. IV Skills preferred Others duties as assigned by manager Education and/or Experience: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ASN or BSN). Two (2) years’ experience as an PreOp and/or PACU Nurse preferred Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia. Current BLS certification required. Hours: Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with 1 weekend per month rotation, 1 holiday and will go to both Sandy Springs and our Marietta locations. Responsibilities: Performs general nursing care to patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards. Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment, examination and testing of patients. Observes, records and reports patient’s condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians. Dispenses medication as directed. Ability to schedule basic monitoring appointments, treatments and procedures. Assessment and triage of patients in emergency situations. Documents accurate and pertinent information including phone conversations with patients, questions asked and answered, prescriptions called to the pharmacy and reportable labs and tests. Responsible for all laboratory related functions: opening and closing of lab, preparing intrauterine insemination specimens, cleaning of instruments and machines, stocking of supplies, properly disposing of bio-hazardous waste, performing urine and hgb tests, proper refrigeration of all blood work and cultures. This role requires a compassionate, detail-oriented RN who can provide high-quality postoperative care in a dynamic fertility clinic environment. If you have fertility experience, this is a plus! What you'll do in this role: Monitor and assess patients' recovery from anesthesia following fertility procedures. Provide postoperative care, including pain management and administering medications as needed. Conduct thorough assessments of patients' vital signs, symptoms, and overall well-being. Collaborate with the surgical team, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Recognize and respond to signs of postoperative complications or emergencies. Provide appropriate interventions and collaborate with the healthcare team to stabilize patients. Educate patients on postoperative care, medication administration, and any specific instructions related to their fertility treatment. Maintain and manage PACU equipment and supplies, ensuring they are clean, functional, and available. What is required: Current RN license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Texas BLS A minimum of one year experience with PACU
