Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time medical-surgical experience in an acute care setting; or 4. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time medical-surgical experience in an acute care setting and completion of Roswell Park nursing orientation with the ability to function independently at a satisfactory level for three (3) months (full-time) as a Nurse I at Roswell Park. Title: Oncology Nurse Coordinator - GI Clinic Job Type: Regular Company: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Ambulatory Services - Gastrointestinal (GI) Center Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 37.5 FTE: 0.9375 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: Assesses, develops, implements and evaluates the plan of care using the nursing process and proactively anticipates patient needs; provides individual assistance to patients, families and care givers throughout the course of treatment; organizes multi-disciplinary and/or multi-centered care, facilitates effective communication with care providers, and provides education for patients within their primary disease site; coordinates all education and training required for the care team; responsible for the patient experience by ensuring excellent customer service and timely management of any patient complaints; ensures that all patient questions and/or concerns are referred to the proper department and addressed in a timely manner; serves as the point of contact for patients with questions about their plan of care, as well as the point of contact for the attending and all consulting physicians.
