Summary:
Join our team as a Per Diem Registered Nurse and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals facing cancer and complex critical health conditions. In this role, you’ll provide expert patient care, health education, and supportive counseling to oncology and ICU-level patients, delivering skilled nursing interventions that promote recovery, stability, and overall well-being. Working in a fast-paced, highly specialized environment, you’ll collaborate closely with physicians and licensed providers to implement treatment plans, monitor patient status, and respond to evolving clinical needs. You will also lead and support a dedicated team of nurses and clinical support staff while ensuring the highest standards of compassionate, patient-centered care. Beyond daily patient care, you’ll have opportunities for professional growth through workshops, in-service training, and continuing education. The starting pay rate for this position is $49.61 per hour. In addition, there is a night shift differential of $6.50 per hour, bringing the total hourly rate to $56.11

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
License Requirement
License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
Education and Experience
1. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time oncology nursing experience; or
2. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time critical care experience; or
3. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time medical-surgical experience in an acute care setting; or
4. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time medical-surgical experience in an acute care setting and completion of Roswell Park nursing orientation with the ability to function independently at a satisfactory level for three (3) months (full-time) as a Nurse I at Roswell Park.
NOTE:
1. Incumbents will serve a one (1) year full-time probationary period as a Nurse II.
2. Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
