Position Summary: Join our team in an 18-bed Emergency Room unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. We are staffed with RNs, ED techs and unit secretaries, providing specialized care for patients primarily diagnosed with respiratory failure and cardiac conditions. The Emergency Department Registered Nurse is responsible for providing nursing care for acutely ill patients. The Emergency Department Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process, their skills in clinical judgment, critical thinking, prioritization, and time management to care for patients throughout the life span and with a variety of healthcare needs. The registered nursed also performs assigned procedures that are within the scope of practice as set forth by the Iowa State Board of Nursing. Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program required with a current unencumbered Registered Nurse License in Iowa or from a Compact State. Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within six (6) months of hire.
