Responsibilities The Licensed Vocational Nurse provides direct nursing care to individuals and groups of patient according to physician orders and applicable patient care standards. Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION Graduate or Certificate from accredited program for Licensed Vocational Nursing. MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE Previous experience in clinical nursing desired. REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS Current licensure in Texas as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Certified Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association. REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES Completion of Advanced Cardiac Life Support within one your of hire suggested. Computer SKills. Registered Nurse (RN) Nights & Weekends

Overview The Registered Nurse (RN)-Nights & Weekends is prepared to handle all on-going needs, in addition to urgent needs of patients and their families after hours in their homes or facility. The RN Nights & Weekends follows the established care plan of the patient while ensuring comfort care to the patient and support to family members. Location: Falls Church, Arlington, Alexandria Schedule: Every other weekend days , some nights and some holidays. COVID-19 vaccine required to be completed upon start. Responsibilities The RN Nights & Weekends visits patients with emergent, critical needs in a timely manner. The RN Nights & Weekends arranges for, teaches, and supervises nursing care of patients in home care and facility settings in collaboration with other members of the interdisciplinary team. The RN Nights & Weekends makes nursing assessments and uses critical thinking skills to provide care based on evidence-based practice, within scope of practice. May be asked to rotate to other regions/departments. Qualifications Experience Requirements: Must have one year of staff nurse experience in a comparable setting/unit. Hospice and/or palliative care experience is strongly preferred. Education Requirements: Must have a degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program. Licensure and/or Certification Requirements: Requires licensure from the governing body of practice for the District of Columbia, State of Maryland, and/or the Commonwealth of Virginia, based on the state/jurisdiction of practice; or licensure from compact state. Healthcare Provider BLS (CPR) is required to practice in the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia. A CHPN certification is a plus. Driver's License: Must have driver's license in good standing and access to a vehicle during working hours.
