This position will be managing critically ill inpatients in the CVICU. The schedule for this position involves day/ night rotation (6:00 am-7:00 pm, 6:00 pm-7:00 am or 11:00am-12:00am) with alternating weekends and holidays. The clinical team includes Residents, Fellows and Staff Anesthesiologists. Experience is preferred, however the department will consider newly licensed graduates with ICU experience. Generous sign-on bonus available for candidates with at least 3 years of APRN or PA experience. Provides information and answers routine questions of patients regarding their disease, including preventive health maintenance topics such as diet, weight, smoking and topics related to medical specialty, with basic recommendations. Educates patients regarding their disease, treatments, related drug and treatment side effects and hazards.
