This 12-month, full-time position is a unique employment and training opportunity for new NPs to start their practice career in a high-performance health system in a supported learning environment. Upon completion of the program, the NP Fellow will be required to commit to a 2-year contract to work at a Montefiore Medical Group health center site. Prescribe medications and manage prescriptions based on evidence-based guidelines. Participate in weekly didactic sessions focusing on high-volume, complex, high-risk, and commonly seen topics in primary care. Requirements FNP Degree: Must have received a Nurse Practitioner (NP) degree in Family Medicine within the last 48 months. Licensing: Must hold a current and active New York State Nurse Practitioner (NP) license and registration. Certification: Must be board-certified as a Nurse Practitioner, or eligible for certification. Experience: Open to newly licensed Nurse Practitioners or those with less than one year of clinical experience in family medicine.
