Job Description Nemours Children’s Health Florida is seeking experienced Neonatal Advanced Practice Providers to staff the Level III NICU at Studer Family Children's Hospital at Ascension Sacred Heart in beautiful Pensacola. Responsibilities include rounding with Nemours Neonatologists on NICU patients. The level III NICU is staffed with Nemours Advance Practice Providers and Neonatologists. Essential Functions Manages and provides care for the patient requiring neonatal intensive care utilizing collaborative consultation with team members, under the direction and supervision (but not necessarily the direct attendance) of an attending neonatologist. Conducts parent interviews and takes family history. Collaborates with neonatologists concerning pertinent historical events, physical findings, diagnostic and therapeutic measures initiated on all admissions. Orders appropriate laboratory tests and procedures. Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures necessary and appropriate for the care of the patient. Reviews and provides general care items involved in neonatal care, such as temperature stabilization, hyperalimentation therapy, feeding management, and phototherapy. Complete timely documentation as required by departmental policy and Nemours standards. Participate in meeting goals of the department. Participates in daily rounds in NICU. Rotating shifts required. Job Description Nemours Children’s Health is seeking Advanced Practice Providers to join our Genetics Team in Jacksonville, Florida! Nemours Children's pediatric geneticists help kids with complex conditions grow up healthy. Our providers look for causes of developmental delays, physical differences, growth problems, learning issues and more. We use the latest technologies to study genes and how they’re involved in certain conditions. We’re experts in pediatric genetic disorders, including conditions that are present at birth, conditions that affect the brain, rare syndromes that have many symptoms at once, and many more. Key Responsibilities Provides care to pediatric patients as guided by education, clinical expertise and Scope of Practice Agreement, including ambulatory, inpatient (acute) care, surgical first assist and pre- and post-operative management Elicits comprehensive or focused/interval health history Performs complete or interim physical examinations as indicated by the nature of the encounter Orders, performs, and/or interprets diagnostic or screening tests, including laboratory, radiological or other tests within the APP'S scope of practice Plans interventions including medications, treatments and procedures, and modifies plans based on evaluation of patient response. Our level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit located in the newly designed 7 story Critical Care Tower, consists of 74 beds and is here to provide the best start in life for babies born too early or with complex medical issues. This care team takes care of babies around-the-clock in our high-tech unit and also offers critical care transport. This position will require coverage in both a level II and level IV NICU settings.
