Summary PA-C / APRN- Inpatient APP Dept. - (GU Surgical Oncology) Based in the Genitourinary (Urology) Department , this primarily Inpatient Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant position provides patient care under the auspices of the Moffitt Medical Group (MMG) , supports GU department Urologists and Surgical Oncologists , and serves as member of the academic medical enterprise; advancing the institutional mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer. Position Highlights Assists physicians with the evaluation, management and treatment of specialty-specific patients with different medical problems, procedures and co-morbidities. Works within a defined scope of practice and under the authority of supervising physician(s) or by specific protocol(s). Assists with coverage of the Urologic Oncology Surgical Service and care of their patients throughout hospitalization, as the primary admitting team at Moffitt Magnolia Hospital (MMH). Will see Initial Urology Inpatient Consults that originate at MMH (from Inpatients Units/IHM). Assists in management of medical and surgical urology consults, admissions, and infusion center patients. Will see Initial Urology Inpatient Consults that originate at Moffitt Magnolia Campus (from Inpatients Units and Urgent Care). Additional Information This position will assess, manage and staff inpatient consults. Assessment and escalation are critical components of this position. This position will monitor post-operative and inpatient care of GU Oncology surgical patients. The inpatient care will also include discharge planning and management under the guidance of the attending. This is a Monday through Friday day shift position, hours 6:00am - 4:30pm, working 4x10 hour days. If preference is for 5x8 hour days, that could be accommodated. No evening or weekend call. Summary APRN / PA-C - Moffitt at Advent Health Wesley Chapel Based at the Moffitt at Advent Health Wesley Chapel campus, this outpatient Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant position provides patient care under the auspices of the Moffitt Medical Group (MMG) , supports department Medical Oncologists & Infusion Center patients , and serves as member of the academic medical enterprise; advancing the institutional mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer. Position Highlights Assists physicians with the evaluation, management, and treatment of a wide spectrum of patients from all medical oncology disciplines. Works within a defined scope of practice and under the authority of supervising physician(s) or by specific protocol(s). The successful candidate will be a superior communicator, an engaged team member, and a knowledgeable, patient focused provider. Responsibilities Provides patient care as a member of an interdisciplinary team, working with many specialists to coordinate and optimize patient care. Correlates subjective and objective data to formulate a differential or working diagnosis. Formulates treatment plans for medical conditions within scope of practice. May perform minor surgical procedures within scope of practice. Prescribes oral and IV medications when appropriate, within the scope of practice. Documents patient care in accordance with medical staff rules. Manages acute medical issues related to chemotherapeutic infusions and rapid responses on campus. Credentials And Qualifications Bachelor's degree at minimum; master's degree preferred. Graduate of an accredited Advanced Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant program. Active FL medical license (or the ability to obtain one) and certification by the appropriate accreditation body. Active BLS & active ACLS (must be AHA approved) Experience in oncology or general internal medicine; specific experience preferred.
