Collects identification and payor related documentation, conducts registration using EPIC workflow. Measures and documents vitals and communicates the resulting data to the consumer and provider, including temperature, pulse, oxygen saturation, respiration, blood pressure, height, weight, and pain level. Documents chief complaint, allergies, health history, and current medications accurately in EPIC for review by provider. Performs and documents laboratory testing and collections per provider orders and/or standard operating procedures, to include venipuncture with prior venipuncture competency check-off. Administers and documents oral and intramuscular medication using the appropriate medication verification workflow. Assists provider with procedures to include, but not limited to maintaining sterile field, laceration repair, I&D, and application of ortho-goods and assists with ortho-glass application. Performs diagnostic x-rays and documents completion of radiology examinations within the licensed scope of practice as ordered and verified by the provider. Performs x-rays following established protocols and utilizes appropriate exposure factors for care and safety. Ensures images and applicable communication are transferred to radiology group for overread and assures all images have a report on file in the medical record. Behave in a professional and empathetic manner to build trust, comfort, understanding, and relationships with consumers and secondary guest(s) and in-line with patient experience standards. Job Summary and Qualifications * This is a Full Time Day shift position, 7:00am - 7:00pm with rotating weekends * As a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) at HCA Healthcare, you’ll play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality care that puts patients first.
