This position may also assist provider/s with surgical and medical procedures, e.g. minor wound repair, foreign body removals, etc Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent certificate Medical Assistant applicants must have successfully completed an accredited Medical Assistant program and/or will have obtained certification through a recognized certifying organization Licensed Practical Nurse applicants must successfully have completed a practical nursing and pharmacology program and maintain current state licensure with CNE requirements Prior experience in ambulatory health care facility preferred Ability to learn related center tasks and be of assistance to management and physicians Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service standards. Position Overview: The Unit Manager is responsible for directing the entire operation of a nursing unit in a long-term community. Key Responsibilities: Perform general management functions such as hiring, disciplining, and evaluating care team members. Plan and facilitate meetings and committees to address resident care issues/concerns for the unit. Qualifications: Graduate of accredited school of nursing. Licensed as an LPN or RN in the state employed; license must be active, valid, and in good standing. Valid CPR teaching certificate preferred, but not required. Must hold an active CPR license or the ability to obtain within the first 30-days of employment. CPR license must be kept active and current throughout employment. Three years of nursing experience, of which one year in a long-term care environment.
