About the Assistant Director of Nursing Position: We are looking for an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing in the state of Texas to provide leadership skills to effectively operate the Skilled Nursing Home's operations. Learn About a Day in the Life of a Medical Assistant: Responsibilities Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include rooming patients, taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician. Qualifications Job Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Current licensure as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant. Preferred Job Requirements: 6 months’ medical clinic experience. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Make resident rounds at the beginning of each shift and every two hours thereafter to administer quality nursing care. Verify the identification of a resident before administering nursing care or serving food, to assure that appropriate care is being provided to the correct resident. Assure that water pitchers are cleaned, filled with fresh drinking water and within the resident’s reach.
