Embark Care is hiring PRN caregivers to support clients in Sulphur Springs, TX and surrounding areas. This role is ideal for caregivers who want flexible hours, enjoy variety, and are looking to pick up fill-in shifts while waiting for permanent client assignments.

PRN staff are the first offered permanent clients as new cases become available.

Position Overview – PRN Caregiver

PRN caregivers assist with fill-ins, short visits, last-minute coverage, and temporary assignments. Duties vary based on the client’s needs and caregiver’s skill set.

Assignments may include:

  • Personal care

  • Light housekeeping

  • Safety monitoring

  • Errands or routine support

  • Transfer assistance

  • Occasional use of a Hoyer lift (training provided if needed; not all clients use lifts)

Pay

Pay varies based on the client and level of care required:
$12–$17 per hour

Additional details:

  • Semi-monthly direct deposit

  • Opportunity for permanent clients as openings occur

  • Flexible scheduling based on your availability

Responsibilities

  • Assist with activities of daily living (as needed per client)

  • Provide light housekeeping and meal prep

  • Offer companionship and general support

  • Follow safety precautions, especially for high fall-risk clients

  • Complete shift notes and report changes in the client’s condition

  • Travel within Sulphur Springs and nearby service areas for fill-ins (when available)

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year verifiable caregiving experience (required)

  • Two industry-related professional references + one personal reference (required)

  • Must be dependable, responsive, and flexible

  • Valid driver's license and active auto insurance

  • Must pass a background check

  • Willing to work with a variety of clients, including those with mobility assistance needs
