Labor and Delivery department provides services to identify and respond to the obstetric and medical complications of pregnancy and labor and delivery of women 28 weeks or more gestation. We are a team-oriented, supportive L&D unit. We provide patient and family-centered care to all our pregnant and laboring patients. We are a growing unit, working with a great group of providers! Key Roles and Responsibilities: • Intermittent and continuous fetal monitoring • Labor support • Assist with pain management, including nitrous oxide • Assist with deliveries / circulate for c-sections • Recover patients after delivery Scheduling Requirement (Tier 3) Work a minimum of five shifts per four-week schedule 2 of these shifts must be fulfilled on a weekend shift. Work two holiday per calendar year. Per Diem RNs will be paid at 1.5 times the rate for all hours worked on these holidays. Based on your hired shift, work at least two ‘difficult to staff days per calendar year (Easter, Mother’s Day, Halloween, ‘Black Friday’, Good Friday, Christmas Eve, Valentine’s Day or New Year’s Eve) Follow departmental call-out policy Make-up absences within the same schedule period. Failure to comply with this on two occasions in a year will result in withdrawal of the employee from Per Diem status. Our NICU is a 13-bed unit taking care of infants born as early as 28 weeks. Patients are admitted after birth for any complications, genetic disorders, or prematurity. We also care for infants in need of respiratory support in the form of Nasal Cannula, High Flow Nasal Cannula, CPAP, SiPAP and SIMV. Our NICU also has a collaboration with the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and has a Neonatologist in house 24/7. If an infant is born outside of our criteria, we will stabilize the infant and transfer to another facility. Scheduling Requirements (Tier 3): Work a minimum of five shifts per four-week schedule 24 of these hours must be fulfilled on a weekend shift. Weekend night shifts are considered Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Work two holiday per calendar year. Per Diem RNs will be paid at 1.5 times the rate for all hours worked on these holidays. Monitoring vital signs, administering medication, assessing enteral intake and recognizing any changes in assessments that can lead to many life-threatening diagnoses. Nursing Care focus is Family Centered Care and developmental care to create a soothing environment for these infants to continue to grow. What We Require for this Role: Education Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required or in pursuit of. Related Work Experience 3 years of NICU experience required; 5 years preferred LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT Basic Life Support (BLS) required. TCU and the Emergency Department (ED) are collaborating using a new split flow model. The split flow model allows emergency services to continue delivering care to arriving patients while the newly admitted patient is handed off to the TCU RN. TCU is imbedded in and adjacent to the ED. Scheduling Requirement: 2 day shifts (7am-7pm) a month. 1 shift must be a weekend day shift. Key Roles and Responsibilities: TCU RNs + assistants are caring for patients who are waiting for an inpatient bed to become available. Patients may also be discharged from TCU if plan of care is completed before a unit inpatient bed becomes available. The patient’s plan of care and treatment will begin in the TCU. Patients are receiving the same level of nursing care as they would on a Unit. TCU Staff falls under the Float Pool umbrella, so during times of low ER volumes they may Float to Similar Units. Our MBU nursing staff, obstetrical hospitalists, and neonatologists offer 24-hour, family-centered care. Lactation services are provided by our board certified lactation consultants and supported by our nurses who have extensive breastfeeding training . Mothers at risk for postpartum hypertensive complications are counseled and enrolled in our post-discharge surveillance program, Heart Safe Motherhood. Newborns are evaluated daily by pediatricians or neonatologists, and can be taken to our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) should further evaluation be needed or complications arise. Newborn care procedures include hearing screens, evaluation and management of hyperbilirubinemia, car seat testing, screening for critical congenital heart defects, and metabolic screening. Patient education is central to postpartum care and address topics such as newborn care, maternal care and recognition of early warning signs of possible postpartum complications. Collaboration with Princeton Health’s Community Wellness services is also initiated as needed. Scheduling Requirements: Work a minimum of two shifts per four-week schedule or a total of 24 hours a month 12 of these hours must be fulfilled on a weekend shift. Weekends are considered Friday night and Saturday night. Work one holiday per calendar year. Per Diem RNs will be paid at 1.5 times the rate for all hours worked on these holidays . Diagnostic services include bladder scanning, EKGs, ultrasound studies, external fetal monitoring and non-stress tests (for antepartum patients), x-rays, and laboratory tests. Purpose: We are looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide primary care to homebound and palliative care patients. You will apply medical techniques and principles under the supervision of a physician and you will care for a diverse set of patients with chronic diseases. What You'll Do: Provide high quality care to primary and palliative patients in and around Monmouth County, NJ Assess patient's health by performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories and creating the best plan for care. Effectively communicate with office staff and clinical operations across various internal platforms Provide high quality, patient centered care to a panel of patients ` Attend quarterly medical staff meetings Develop impressions, diagnosis, and treatment plans Foster trust and consult with patients, families, and caregivers during visits Order diagnostic testing as medically necessary Prescribe medications supplies and appropriate medically necessary interventions What You'll Need: Board Certified, with a valid NP certification in the state of New Jersey Strong clinical skills with the ability to accurately and confidently treat, assess, and diagnose Positive demeanor and strong people skills Ability to confidently problem solve and operate independently 1-2 years of primary care experience with geriatric patients (hospice experience highly preferred but not required) What you'll get: A flexible schedule - so you can see your patients during a schedule that works for you Autonomy - so you can feel trusted to provide the best care possible.
