Overview Monterey Park Hospital, a 101-acute care facility located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is seeking a Registered Nurse for our OR . This is a full-time, 8-hour day shift position reporting to the Director of Perioperative Services. Responsibilities The OR RN uses specialized knowledge and skills in the care of patients and families undergoing invasive OR procedures. The OR RN uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose and evaluate patient care while managing and administering moderate sedation. The OR RN is responsible for providing a safe, efficient, and caring environment, one in which the OR team can function and in which the outcome for the patient is as positive as possible. He/she manages and oversees equipment, instrumentation and supplies of this specialty service, provides patient education and support to the other OR staff.
