Job Description The Registered Nurse provides care and education for patients based on their illness, symptoms, and courses of treatment. The position manages individualized, goal-directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures. Assist in other duties as assigned to support the operational needs of the department and organization. May be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters. Job Description The Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) provides a comprehensive full scope of midwifery services such as: health assessments in an inpatient and outpatient setting, implementation and evaluation of nurse midwifery care delivered to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients. Provides uncomplicated gynecological care, and OB management of patients throughout the maternity cycle. The CNM's time may be shared amongst the hospital and the outpatient practice. The desire for dedicated teamwork and communication amongst the physicians and staff is a must.
