Job Summary and Qualifications " The Patient Flow Coordinator ensures high quality, patient-centered care by facilitating the throughput of patients within the Emergency Department. The Patient Flow Coordinator evaluates staffing matrix and patient volume patterns to identify optimal staffing schedules and ensure efficiency of resources. The Patient Flow Coordinator supports patient safety initiatives and quality improvement activities that promote the vision, mission, and values of the organization. What you will do in this role: Act as a liaison between physicians, the patient, family, hospital staff, and outside agencies to promote patient flow. Promote consistent, positive interactions to provide unparalleled patient service. Coordinate staffing resources to facilitate schedule flow. Assess staff capabilities, patient acuity, and scheduling needs to make staffing assignments.
