About the Department: Neurology is the branch of medicine focused on the study and treatment of disorders of the nervous system, encompassing the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves. Neurologists are medical doctors specializing in diagnosing and managing conditions affecting this intricate network, which controls and regulates all bodily functions. About The Career: The Nurse Navigator functions as a member of a multidisciplinary team as an advocate, liaison, educator, and counselor for oncology patients across the continuum of care. This position assists in informed decision making; collaborating with other members of the team to allow for timely screening, diagnosis, treatment, and supportive care throughout the patient experience. The Navigator will provide individualized assistance to patients, families, and caregivers to help identify and overcome barriers that may hinder quality and timely medical and psychosocial patient care. This position does provide direct patient care. All About You : Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current Colorado RN license. Minimum of two years of oncology experience required. Nurse navigator experience and/or patient educator in oncology preferred. BLS Certification required.
