Overview The RN Cardiovascular Device is a registered nurse who is independently accountable for the effective management and coordination of care of patients with Cardiac Implantable Electronic Device (CIED), pacemakers, ICD, and Implantable Loop Recorders. The RN will partner with the Electrophysiology (EP) team, Interventional Cardiologists, heart failure team, cardiothoracic surgical team, and other clinical staff throughout The Methodist Hospitals, to coordinate the care of cardiovascular patients with CIEDs. The RN will coordinate care in both an inpatient and outpatient setting. The RN will provide and improve quality patient outcomes for the patient and families for the Heart Clinic and Device Clinic in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
