TNU: This 16-bed critical care unit cares for patients with trauma and neurological injuries including blunt injuries from falls, motor vehicle accidents, gunshot wounds, stabbings, farm accidents, strokes, brain bleeds, brain tumors, and seizures. Lancaster General Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center. RNs are PALS are certified to support acute care of pediatric patients prior to transport. There is also a primary stroke center with thrombectomy capability, which allows patients to stay close to home.
