Recognizes and report signs of abuse or domestic violence. 6. Delegates appropriate tasks based on acuity of patient and skill level of resource staff. 7. Provides leadership while working collaboratively with other care givers on the unit.. 8. Develops, coordinates and presents continuing education regarding newborn feeding for staff and the community (lactation specialist only). 9. Participates in developing and monitoring lactation standards (lactation specialist only). 10. Works with patients related to (and maintains strong knowledge of) the physiology of lactation, implications of ineffective lactation, signs and symptoms of infection, and ineffective maternal coping skills (lactation specialist only). 11.
