Summary Occasionally JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE Performs sexual assault examinations while practicing within the scope of practice of the Oregon State Board of Nursing. Identifies medical stability or injuries, collects forensic evidence, provides/arranges for counseling and follow up care and testifies in courts when summoned. Collaborates with law enforcement, medical staff and community resources. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The regional sexual assault nurse examiner (SANE) center provides services and resources to Linn, Benton and Lincoln counties in a private and secure facility. Staffed by nurses with specialized training, the SANE center provides immediate medical treatment, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, to patients who have experienced sexual violence. Additional counseling and patient support is also available. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS Current unencumbered Oregon RN Licensure required. Two (2) years RN experience required, one (1) year experience must be in an acute care setting. Healthcare Provider BLS required. AGH Sane Nurse Program: IAFN SANE-A or Oregon Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner certification required within one (1) year of hire. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Medical Surgical unit specializes in the care of acutely ill adults and of those who require surgery both emergent and elective. Medical Surgical patients are given the highest standards of professional care by registered nurses and nurse assistants. Specialty certification in Medical Surgical Nursing is strongly encouraged and supported. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS Current unencumbered Oregon RN License required. BSN preferred. Healthcare Provider Level BLS required upon hire. One (1) year RN experience required. Successful completion of management courses/education program preferred. Summary Occasionally JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for utilizing the nursing process to provide safe, age-appropriate, direct and indirect patient care, while practicing within the scope of practice of the Oregon State Board of Nursing. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Emergency Department provides care for patients with a wide variety of needs from non-critical to emergent medical conditions including emergent and urgent mental health care. All patients are welcome whether walking in or arriving by emergency transport. All Emergency Department staff are certified to care for critical cardiac and trauma patients including children. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required. Healthcare Provider Level BLS required upon hire. GSR Emergency: ACLS and PALS required within 90 days of hire. TNCC/ATCN required within six (6) months of hire. Verification of high school diploma or equivalent required due to the College of American Pathologists (CAP) requirements for moderate complexity testing.
