  • JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
    • The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for utilizing the nursing process to provide safe, age-appropriate, direct and indirect patient care, while practicing within the scope of practice of the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
    • Assess, evaluate, and intervene in the bio-psychosocial aspects of late adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and their significant others, who are in an acute phase of mental or emotional disturbance.

    DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
    • The Mental Health teams at Samaritan Health Services provide a full range of professional mental health services through a team of highly skilled psychiatrists, psychologists, nurse practitioners and licensed clinical social workers.

    EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
    • Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required.
    • Healthcare Provider Level BLS required. Other certifications may be required for department specific positions.
    • Minimum of one year recent experience in an acute care setting preferred.

    • Computer Literacy - Knowledge of electronic equipment, computer hardware and software, including applications and programming. Ability to operate applications, write software, set up functions, enter data, and manipulate and process information.
