Base salary starting at: $33.53 / hr E S S E N T I A L F U N C T I O N S Provides forensic exams, prophylaxis for pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections, photographic documentation, referrals for appropriate medical and psychological follow-up, support and participation in legal proceedings. Ability to triage patients and determine if a medical exam is needed prior to a forensic exam. Coordinate care of all agencies involved in assisting the victim. Perform and document medical/forensic exam accurately, including: Head-to-toe assessments for trauma, detailed ano-genital examination, forensic specimen collection and documentation, and photography. Assesses for mandatory reporting status and reports when appropriate. Maintains chain of custody for each sexual assault exam and adheres to evidence collection protocols. Administer appropriate prophylactic medications per protocols. Provide testimony as fact witness to any/all cases performed while the forensic/SANE program and coordinate with attorneys during the judicial process. Other duties as assigned. E D U C A T I O N Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required. E X P E R I E N C E One (1) year of experience in acute care required. C R E D E N T I A L S Must have a current, valid RN license from the State of Wyoming and must be in good standing with the Board of Nursing. Must have current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or must obtain within 60 days of hire and maintain credentials throughout employment with IMH. Must obtain TNCC certification or equivalent advanced training within 6 months of hire and maintain credentials throughout employment with the SANE Program. Additional certifications and training provided by Ivinson may be required on individual units as indicated in the CBO.
