HOW YOU'LL WORK:You'll provide skilled nursing care in a patient's home as directed by the attending physician. You will work autonomously, so you need to be efficient in managing your time. Family Educator/Advocate: Educate the patient and family on the disease process using teach back methods to ensure patient and family understanding. Policies: Completes all clinical documentation following agency protocol and Medicare/Federal guidelines. Rules and Regulations: Understand and follow agency policies, procedures, rules, and regulations and communicate changes in schedule/availability to schedulers or supervisors. Licensed as a RN in the state employed; license must be active, valid, and in good standing. Must hold an active CPR license or ability to obtain within the first 30-days of hire; CPR license must be kept active and current throughout employment. Valid CPR teaching certificate preferred, but not required. Three years of nursing experience, of which one year in a long-term care environment. Must have at least two years supervisory experience.
