Job Description Summary: Candidates must have at least one year of previous OR experience as an RN. Looking to fill an RN position in a 4 OR suite, dynamic OR setting. This is a multiservice line OR, consistency of patients with complex acuity. There are weekend, weekday and Holiday on-call requirements. Job Description Summary: ***SIGN-ON BONUS: $7500*** External applicants may be eligible for a $7500 sign-on bonus with a one-year work commitment. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic 4 OR department. Our department supports multiple specialty lines and cares for patients with diverse and often complex medical and surgical needs. On- Call requirements include a structured rotation that includes weekday, weekend and holiday call coverage with a 30-minute response time. The Surgical Technologist and/or the Certified Surgical Technologist prepares the room and gathers supplies needed for surgical procedures; delivers instruments and supplies to the surgeon and other members of the surgical team intra operatively; may function as second assistant to the surgeon; assists in the proper decontamination of the room, supplies and instruments post operatively. Responsibilities And Duties: 40% Prepares for surgical cases by obtaining and preparing appropriate supplies, equipment and instruments, reviews surgeon's preferences to determine required items. Establishes and maintains a sterile field and presents instruments to the operating team. Delivers appropriate instruments/supplies utilizing proper principles of sterile technique. Acts as 2nd assistant to surgeon, performing duties related to draping and operative site exposure. Responsible for removal of all sharps and initials return card for verification. Can hold extremities. Assist with casting and splinting. Mixes medications on the sterile field once verification by a registered nurse has occurred. Assist with positioning, can fix specimens in formalin (annual competency required), assists circulator in proper care and handling of surgical specimens. Can wash and thaw grafts, can hold a stapler while surgeon fires it, can operate skin stapler for the purpose of wound approximation and can assist with the dislocation of joints if yearly competency is accomplished. Can cut suture material as directed by and under the supervision of a surgeon, Can apply ESU to clamps or forceps for hemostasis under the direct supervision of the surgeon, can assist anesthesia if yearly competency is accomplished, Can assist with patient skin prep if yearly competency is accomplished, Can change out camera and robotic instruments during endoscopic procedures under the direct supervision of the surgeon, Can manipulate the uterus during robotic cases under the direct supervision of the surgeon. 40% Equipment and Supply Maintenance: Assists in post-procedure cleaning of the OR/equipment, returns equipment/supplies to proper areas; assists in room re-stocking. May run dart/biologics for sterilizers (annual competency required), reports any damaged equipment appropriately, mops floor between cases, and ensures that all equipment cords are not frayed and free from cuts as well as other duties as assigned. 20% Unit Operations: Participates in unit operations to contribute to efficiency of department, effective communication, quality care, personal growth as well as development, training, and orientation of new personnel. Maintains all annual unit specific competencies, ACE and PAR requirements. Will mentor new associates. CAN DO: Can mix medications on the sterile field, following verification with an RN. Can deliver medications to the sterile field if an RN is in scrub role. Can run dart / biologics for sterilizers if annual competency has been met. Can sterilize instrumentation if annual competency has been met Can assist with positioning. Can hold extremities. Can check next case cart. Can perform room turnover and set-up for subsequent cases. Can assist with casting and splint application/removal. Can participate in verification of specimen and specimen labeling with Surgery team. Can fix specimens in formalin as long as annual competency has been met. Can wash or thaw grafts. Can assist RN circulator under direct supervision. Can hold a stapler while the surgeon fires it. Can cut suture material as directed by and under the supervision of a surgeon. Can operate the skin stapler for the purpose of wound approximation. Can assist in the dislocation of joints as long as annual competency has been met. CANNOT DO: Cannot inject or administer medications, dye and blood product. Cannot set up IVs. Cannot desiccate tissue. Cannot suture. Cannot tie suture. Cannot use or activate cautery. Cannot operate ESU. Cannot perform anything invasive. Cannot prep patient. We are looking for an LPN to join our occupational health team! The current schedule for this position is 7 am- 4 pm Monday-Friday. What You'll Do: Ensures all patient paperwork and records are reviewed and processed correctly and timely to expedite patient care; processes all required forms and medical records and utilizes software systems to input data and statistics for electronic management of patient and claims; responsible for patient claims processing and management; ensures physician and clinical team are kept informed of all patient care and claim updates. Provides delegated patient care (i.e. Data collection, administer medications, applies and changes dressings, cleans wounds, takes vital signs, etc.) to assigned group of patients utilizing established standards of nursing care; provides nursing services in accordance with industrial and occupational health standards; provides emergency nursing care to industrial injury outpatients; ensures duties are completed in a timely manner, reported and documented; under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. Sets up, stocks and maintains supplies and equipment as needed for patient care; checks supplies for outdated items and returns to appropriate department when necessary; performs Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standard audiometric screens, collects specimens for drug/alcohol screens; collects blood and/or urine as ordered; performs respiratory fit testing; performs breath alcohol tests as requested. We are looking for a Procedural Registered Nurse to join our collaborative team at Memorial Health! What You’ll Do: Deliver patient care using the nursing process: assessment, analysis, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Assist physicians in managing cardiac patients, including direct care within the cardiac cath/interventional lab and during cardiac or non-cardiac procedures. Administer and manage cardiac medications and maintain a sterile field during applicable procedures. Conduct Point of Care (POC) testing and monitor patients undergoing procedural sedation. Operate radiographic and angiographic imaging equipment while adhering to radiation safety standards. Collaborate with interventional radiology techs on documentation, policy, ACC reporting, inventory management, and quality assurance. Collect and document accurate data for patient care and outcomes, including electrocardiographic and hemodynamic monitoring. Educate patients and families with relevant health information and provide appropriate written materials. Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance quality nursing care. Must respond promptly to emergencies and arriving at the hospital within 30 minutes as needed.
