Job Summary This position is a 12-week internship program which prepares the new Graduate Nurse for a Registered Nurse position on a general care pediatric unit. Orientation includes a combination of educational sessions and precepted bedside clinical experience. A two (2) year commitment with a minimum of 30 hours/week (0.75 FTR) is required for candidates hired through the internship program. Education will be provided in a group and unit-based settings. Precepted bedside experience will occur on the onboarding unit. This posting will be used to hire two graduate nurse internship positions in the pediatric Hematology/Oncology unit. This internship will have a start date of Summer of 2026 Flexibility will be available for hours to range from 32-40 hours per week. Brief Descriptions Of The Unit Below 7 East population ranges in age from newborn to young adulthood. The diagnoses range from hematological disorders, such as chronic granulomatous disease and sickle cell anemia, to oncological disorders including leukemia, lymphoma, and solid tumor. 7 East Mott's Bone Marrow Transplant program does 40-50 autologous, cord, allogenic and unrelated transplants a year. 7 East is a 32 bed unit that has all HEPA filtered private rooms and some positive pressure rooms to protect our immunocompromised patients.
