The split flow model allows emergency services to continue delivering care to arriving patients while the newly admitted patient is handed off to the TCU RN. The TCU is imbedded in and adjacent to the ED. Schedule: 3, 7a-7p shifts per week with weekend rotation of 3 shifts per 4 week schedule. Key Roles and Responsibilities: TCU RNs + assistants are caring for patients who are waiting for an inpatient bed to become available.
