Escalates need for more emergent or specialized care when necessary. Maintains accurate, complete, concise, and timely documentation in the electronic medical record. Substantiates and submits professional services consistent with compliant coding and billing practices. Facilitates consistent, coordinated care and clear communication among all members of the healthcare team and/or health or community agencies. Performs office or hospital procedures in accordance with specialty practice, competency and granted privileges (where applicable). Other responsibilities: Participates in quality, safety, and peer review initiatives/performance activities, organizational and/or departmental meetings and committees, peer review, and workgroups as necessary. Participates in education and/or onboarding of new team members, students, and other health care professionals. Seeks experiences to maintain and develop clinical and professional skills and advance the profession within and outside of the organization. Maintains standards of productivity, access, face-to-face time, and quality metrics to ensure optimal, safe and timely patient care delivery. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Acute Hospital Inpatient Med/Surg RN The Medical unit is a 37 bed unit that focuses on a variety of medical diagnoses including Cardiac, Pulmonary, Renal, Oncology, Infectious disease, Neurological, Psychiatric, Surgical, and COVID 19. This area is one of the stepdown units to the ICU. Our Regional Medical Center in Neenah is a Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center with a specialized patient population. This unit is a fast-paced Medical unit that works closely with the Provider Hospitalist Team who is in house 24/7 to attend to our patients needs and is readily available for our patients and team. There is significant multidisciplinary collaboration between Nursing, Care Managers, Providers, and Ancillary Services to ensure high quality care and support is given to our patients. We do an individualized orientation process to ensure each new team member’s needs are met and adjusted to their experience and knowledge base. ABOUT THE JOB The RN works with a concierge physician to provide healthcare services for corporate clients to ensure excellent care and experience for our patients. Marathon Health nurses are responsible for front and back-office duties, including assessing patients, informing the physician of changes and assuring Marathon Health physicians have the resources and tools necessary to be successful. Because this is a highly visible position, the nurse must be a resource for the patient and accept responsibility for meeting satisfaction goals. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Support physician in clinical and administrative functions Clinical: Interview and assess patients to obtain medical information and report findings to physician Extensive use of an Electronic Medical Record. Perform venipuncture and basic laboratory tests and work with contracted labs for additional tests Assist with medical procedures Administer injections and vaccinations. May be responsible for coordinating off-site wellness events Utilize diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment (e.g. O2 therapy, EKG, etc.) Responsible for infection control procedures throughout the clinic Manage supplies and inventory Administrative: Maintains patient flow in accordance with scheduling and incoming / outgoing calls Help coordinate specialist visits, referrals, and other care outside of the clinic Responds to calls from patients, pharmacies, and other medical offices as delegated by physician Fulfill medical record requests and abstraction Make the medical visit a positive and supportive experience for each patient QUALIFICATIONS Current BLS Certification and nursing license to practice in the state for which you are applying. Minimum of one year experience in primary care and at least two years working in an administrative capacity. Must have exceptional phlebotomy skills.
