CNA Cerification Required What You Will Do: Coordinate and schedule transportation for residents to off-site appointments. Answer telephones or switchboard during scheduled shifts, providing excellent customer service and routing calls appropriately. Schedule appointments and ensure timely communication between departments, residents, and transportation drivers. Evaluate type of therapy most desirable after consulting with the physician and therapy personnel. Brief resident of procedures involved in restorative care and prepare necessary equipment. Perform restorative care treatments in resident's room, as necessary. Prepare resident for treatment by dress/position and administer restorative care in accordance with established policies and procedures. Recommend modifications and changes in the resident's restorative care as indicated. Complete all restorative care notes in an informative and descriptive manner which indicates the treatment provided and the resident's response to the care. Assist in developing restorative care plans for individual residents in coordination and conjunction with the resident assessment (MDS). Review the restorative care requirements of each resident admitted to the facility and assist the attending physician in planning for the resident's care and/or treatment. Verify that care plans indicate restorative care when such therapy is ordered. Complete required assessments and sign-off on all necessary restorative documents. Alternative Work Experience (for eligibility to take NHA, ARMA, NHCWA, NCCT, NAHP or AMT exams, if not already certified or registered on hire): Applicant shall be employed as a supervised medical assistant for a minimum of one (1) year (NHA or NHCWA) within the last three (3) years, for a minimum of 2 years (NCCT, NAHP), for a minimum of 3 years (ARMA), for a minimum of 5 years (AMT) of the last 7 years (with no more than 2 of those years as an instructor in a post-secondary medical assistant program). Or graduate of an Accredited School of Professional Nursing. Experience must include both clinical (including medication administration) and administrative duties.
