Conducting rounds, evaluating patients returning from off-site treatment Admitting and discharging patients from the facility Qualifications Experience / Requirements / Qualifications Advanced nursing education (Master's or Doctorate) Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with Psychiatric certification Must hold a current unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner in Colorado OR a Physician Assistant with a minimum of 1 year of relevant Psychiatric work experience Current DEA registration An appropriate collaborative agreement with the on-site Physician Must possess an active BLS/CPR Certification (AHA preferred) Be certified in a Board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties Must pass the facility’s criminal background check and drug screening Knowledge of nursing practice principles and techniques, occupational health and safety standards, infectious disease management, applicable health care laws, regulations, and procedures for direct health care services.
