Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities Responsibilities of the home care aide include, but are not limited to, the following- · Execute the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer. · Help clients with their ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) that are within the scope of practice for a Registered Health Care Aide. · Assisting clients with personal hygiene such as skin, mouth, hair care, bathing and dressing. · Assisting clients in and out of bed, transfers, positioning and assisting with ambulation. · Assisting with prescribed exercises which clients and aides have been taught by appropriate health personnel. · Meal planning and preparation, including therapeutic diets, and assisting clients with eating. · Assisting clients to the bathroom or in using commodes, bedpans or urinals and incontinence care. · Performing household services including housekeeping, laundry, transportation, correspondence, making telephone calls, shopping for personal care items or groceries, and companionship. · Assisting clients with medications reminders which are ordinarily self-administered. · Reporting changes in the client's condition and needs to the administrator or care designer. · Completing records regarding services performed. · Driving to appointments or to run errands. · Accurately records all hours worked. · Remains alert throughout the shift in case client requires assistance, responds immediately to any such needs by providing the assistance required, or calling the Company for guidance. · Participating in all required entry-level and annual training requirements. · Maintaining an active home care aide registration with the State of Ca.
