The Medical Assistant performs clinical and clerical support activities to deliver quality patient care. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified full-time candidates. Responsibilities: Triages patient by taking vital signs, such as height, weight, and blood pressure Prepares patient charts for providers Creates and maintains electronic patient records Verifies insurance coverage and obtains necessary authorizations for services Coordinates and maintains patient schedules Prepares exam rooms for patients during their visit Maintains exam room supplies and prepares for minor procedure Assists with surgical scheduling as needed Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: High school degree or equivalent. Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiology Registered Nurse with demonstrated experience in cardiac care and CT imaging technology. The ideal candidate will provide advanced clinical support within the cardiology department, including patient assessment, cardiac monitoring, coordination of care, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. In addition, this role requires the, assist with cardiac CT procedures, and ensure high-quality imaging in collaboration with radiology and cardiology providers. CLERICAL PRACTICE Provide professional nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Perform cardiac-focused assessments, including rhythm interpretation, hemodynamic evaluation, and symptom monitoring. Assist with and support cardiac CT procedures, including patient preparation, positioning, and monitoring before, during, and after imaging. Operate CT imaging equipment within department guidelines and collaborate with CT technologists to ensure accurate, high quality cardiac images. Educate patients and families regarding cardiology procedures, CT imaging expectations, and follow up care. Perform triage functions, prioritize patient needs, and recognize urgent cardiac symptoms requiring immediate intervention. Collaborate with cardiologists, radiologists, and the multidisciplinary team to optimize diagnostic efficiency and patient outcomes. Support and oversee ancillary staff to ensure safe, efficient clinic and imaging workflow. Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and imaging standards. Adhere to Upstate policies, procedures, safety protocols, radiation safety standards, and infection prevention guidelines. Assist with CT imaging tasks within RN scope, including patient positioning, contrast administration (if applicable), and monitoring. Recognize and respond to cardiac changes during imaging (e.g., arrhythmias, vital sign instability). Document cardiology and imaging-related care in accordance with NYS and organizational standards. Educate patients on cardiac procedures, CT imaging expectations, and post-procedure instructions. Maintain sterile technique and adhere to NYS infection control mandates. Verify imaging orders, support contrast administration processes, and follow NYS medication administration laws. Job Summary: Experienced LPN supporting infectious disease care through patient screening, vital signs, medication, exposure review, and assistance with exams. Skilled in documentation, patient communication, prescription processing, and updating ID-related labs. Maintains exam rooms, PPE, and equipment sanitation per infection control and OSHA standards. Provides patient education, manages charts and forms, supports clinic operations, and upholds safety protocols to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care. CLERICAL PRACTICE Screen patients for infectious disease symptoms, take vitals, review histories, and assist with exams while maintaining patient flow. Document patient information, medications, exposure risks, and education accurately per policy Manage patient calls, prescription renewals, and communication; enter and update infectious disease labs (cultures, serologies, viral loads) Provide patient education on infection prevention, treatment adherence, and follow-up care Maintain exam rooms, PPE, supplies, and equipment sanitation per infection control standards Manage charts, forms, scanning, and documentation required for infectious disease care and insurance processing Support clinic operations, assist with staff orientation, and attend nursing meetings as needed Follow OSHA, safety, and infection control protocols; identify and report concerns promptly Maintain EPIC proficiency and perform additional duties to support safe clinic operations OFFICE EQUIPMENT USED Telephone, fax machine, computers and printers, copier, postage machine, and shredder COMPUTER SYSTEMS USED EPIC, Outlook Email, Excel, Word Minimum Qualifications: NYS licensed/registered LPN.
